Superb quality is shown in the hand boning, hand dying beautiful finish, and dowel sight clearance of this inexpensive leather holster. Our FIST holsters designed by Jim Murnak even have features which the expensive holsters don't have. Each holster is HardmoldTM made using 8-9 ounce cowhide so that as your belt is tightened, your gun fits close and comfortable. This HardmoldTM process causes the leather to become rigid enough to accommodate the weight of the gun as well as hold it firmly in the holster until you draw. A dent is also added behind the front of the trigger guard on the back of the holster. This snaps your gun in and holds it securely. All FIST holsters are made from scratch to your specifications requiring applicable drying and finishing times. This custom holster usually requires a 6-8 week production time but we are sure you will agree it is worth the extra wait. Customer feedback has been that a FIST holster far surpasses other previous holster experiences. The FIST Superside 2 is an answer to the front flare-out problem of the Sport type holsters. The Superside 2 has a reinforced top and a rounded front for ease of re-holstering, but its real beauty is the front holding belt slot that keeps this holster as close for concealment as a pancake holster. The Superside 2 is available in a variety of beautiful colors. Choose 1 1/4", 1 1/2" or 1 3/4" belt slots. Thumb break can be added for an additional $30. The optional tension screw (shown on the Glock holster) is a personal choice and can be added to help your holster retain a consistent tension as it naturally softens when it gets older. Custom made for most handguns (see chart below). Available for left or right hand Also available in Kydex®. Although the FIST specialty is leather holsters there is a place for Kydex® in the FIST line. Many people need a holster that is waterproof or can be worn in climates that would make leather holsters less desirable because of perspiration. Also under particular circumstances, Kydex is the material of choice. FIST uses Kydex® that is thin enough that it will make a difference in ease of concealment and we also make sure that these holsters fit as well as our leather holsters, very close and comfortable. Our goal is to make a line of holsters that will not have the usual negatives, but use the qualities of strength and adaptability to an advantage. The price is $5 less than leather.
